Essential oils are natural and good for the body, in moderation. Mother nature has given us essential oils to help with aches, pains, and acne. The five essential oils that do wonders in skin care are lavender, sandalwood, peppermint, tea tree oil, and geranium.

Sandalwood's texture is thick and its color is brownish to yellowish. Its fragrance is more pleasant with a woody, warm, and sweet smell to it. Sandalwood has the following properties: antiseptic, astringent, rejuvenator, antibacterial, antifungal, and is soothing. Because of these properties it is a great treatment for acne. It can also be used on raw, infected, dry, or oily skin.

Another name for tea tree oil is the wonder oil for acne and pimples. This oil is great for spot treatment. Just dot some on the pimple, and it will be gone in two to three days.

Lavender oil is one of the most versatile oils, but is especially great for the skin. This is why the Romans always put it in their bath water. Putting lavender in the bath water can help soothe sunburns, balance oil production, even skin tones, and clear skin. Lavender is antibacterial, antifungal, and antiseptic. Lavender is an all-purpose skin care product.

Peppermints most famous uses are for fragrances and flavoring. Peppermint is also wonderful at treating acne and blackheads. It is also powerful enough for skin infections and diseases.

Geranium is great for wrinkles. Most women worry about getting wrinkles and worrying causes wrinkles. Geranium used along with phytessence wakame is a miracle worker when it comes to wrinkles. Geranium can also be used with sensitive skin.

All five of these essential oils is a must have with skin care routines. They all are effective on past, present, and future skin problems. These essential oils work hard to keep acne away so people do not have to.
