Five Essential Oils for Weight Loss
Taking steps to take better care of your body is an honorable quest and
congratulations are in order. Weight loss can be a challenge however
thanks to Mother Nature, there are several essential oils to make
achieving your weight loss goals easier to attain. Here are five
essential oils for weight loss.
Grapefruit Essential Oil
Citrus paradise or Grapefruit oil provide a number of health benefits
which include helping reduce water retention. It's also an immune
system strengthener. While both of these benefits are tremendous, the
real power of grapefruit oil is its ability to dissolve fat. Limonene,
a main component of grapefruit has been proven by Japanese scientists
to enhance Lipolysis. Lipolysis is a metabolic process which releases
stored fatty acids into your bloodstream where they are broken down by
your liver and kidneys. This energy is then used as an energy source
for your heart and brain.
And if all of those grapefruit diets seemed a bit out of touch,
grapefruit oil is a natural weight loss suppressant - in addition to

Bergamot Oil
One common cause of overeating is emotional stress. Just as grapefruit

Bergamot is one of the few essential oils which stimulates your

alleviates stress. Your sense of smell and emotional centers of the

Sandalwood
Sandalwood is well known for its medicinal qualities including use as
an astringent, a fungicide, a sedative and for treating a number of
skin conditions. Yet many are unaware of Sandalwood's capability to

all influence our cellular programming and sandalwood essential oil

Peppermint
Peppermint is well known for its ability to soothe a stomach ache and

aid. Peppermint, according to a study conducted by Dr Alan Hirsch,
triggers your brain's satiety center, the ventro-medial nucleus of the
hypothalamus. This causes a full feeling which allows you to eat less
and feel satisfied. For most effectiveness you can inhale peppermint
oil before you dine or drink a few drops in a glass of water or tea
before your meal.
Peace & Calming Oil
Finally this essential oil, Peace & Calming, is a blend containing:
- Tangerine. A diuretic and also used to calm the nervous system.
- Orange. Used as an antidepressant and to provide emotional support.
- Ylang Ylang. Used to provide a feeling of well-being and relaxation as well as to clarify thoughts.
- Patchouli. Used as sedative and relaxation aid.
- Blue Tansy Oil. Cleans the liver and essentially helps your body breakdown fat.
This blend of essential oils is most often used to treat children with
hyperactivity yet it's also a wonderful weight loss aid, calming
emotions and keeping your liver functioning well.
Known for their many properties, essential oils provide natural weight
