It seems there are so many ways to use tea tree oil. It's unique properties of being anti-viral and anti-fungal and anti-bacterial and anti-everything yet non-toxic make it highly desirable. Here are a few of the many recommendations for use that I have received:

1. Add 1/3oz. of tee tree oil to 62oz. of liquid laundry detergent (the unscented variety). (To control the cost, you can buy tea tree oil in the 3.38 oz. size as it is more economical).

2. Add 10-20 drops of tea tree to a cotton cleaning pad and insert it into an empty vacuum cleaner bag when replacing bags. It refreshes the room and kills germs.

3. To sterilize your feather pillows and kill dust mites, add several drops of tea tree oil to a clean cotton rag and put it into the dryer with your pillows. Place the dryer on fluff.

To any filter, humidifier, air conditioner, etc. add a few drops of tea tree oil.

Another of the many tea tree oil uses was discovered recently by my daughter at college. Two of her roommates came back from a camping trip covered with chiggers and bites. It took a couple of days for them to reach my daughter's room as they all have their own rooms in the apartment. So my daughter combined a few drops of lavender oil with a few drops of tea tree oil, shook them up in a 10oz. bottle of water and sprayed her bedding and all over her room. Within two days she had no more bites and the problem was taken care of.
