Biodiesel is a fuel made out of vegetable oils. Rapeseed and soybean oils are the most commonly used, whilst alternative vegetables oils which include mustard, palm oil, hemp and jatropha also are already tested and appear to indicate numerous potential. These are generally stated or called Virgin Oil Feedstock.

Subsequently we've got the waste vegetable oils which are byproducts coming from animal fats like tallow, lard and yellow grease. It is suggested by many that waste veg oil is the best source of oil to produce biodiesel.

Biodiesel is an environmentally friendly substitute for the petroleum diesel we all use today, which has higher pollutants that pollute our villages, urban centers along with environment.

Biodiesel however is old news, in a sense because Dr Rudolf Diesel, the actual creator of the diesel engine, was basically showing his newly developed engine in the 1898 Paris exhibition; it was operating on peanut oil.

Through a presentation at the same exhibition he was cited as saying "the diesel engine could be fed with veggie oils all of which will support significantly in the development of the agriculture of the countries that utilize it." Therefore it seems that the diesel engine was designed to operate on biodiesel fuel right from the beginning.

Biodiesel is a clean burning fuel which may lessen the carbon dioxide emissions of today's cars and trucks by approximately 100%. Biodiesel is also naturally degradable as well as non-toxic.

The utilization of biodiesel is unquestionably becoming more popular in America and also the United kingdom, even a lot more petrol stations start selling biodiesel worldwide. Even celebs such as Willy Nelson, is not only using it to run his tour buses, he has also opened a chain of petrol stations to sell biodiesel too.

So to summarize some of the benefits of using biodiesel:

1. Biodiesel is surely an eco-friendly fuel.

2. This is a clean burning fuel.

3. It will greatly reduce carbon dioxide wastes

4. Biodiesel is made of waste vegetable oils
