Re:Are hybrid cars "gutless"? - 2007/08/02 09:17 Well atleast in India we are happy that our goverment are provider better tax method for this and cut down the price upto 30%. But in India this is still new format of car so we have to wait next 2 to 3 years to take best advantage.

"Car manufacturers are worried that lack of awareness is putting car buyers off hybrids, because they're seen as difficult to fill up, drive and maintain - and expensive to buy," said the BBC's Tom Symonds.

He went on: "It is hoped cuts to car tax announced by the chancellor last week will help, though a system of grants to encourage more people to buy hybrid vehicles has been delayed."

Re:Are hybrid cars "gutless"? - 2007/09/28 03:31 I don't think they have to be. They may not have as much acceleration as their counterparts, but unless your racing or something, who really needs that? Hybrids can still run partly on gas so I don't quite see where the performance has to suffer.
