Books on Reiki Healing - 2007/06/27 02:57 Are there any really good books that you guys would recommend on Reiki Healing?

This would be very beneficial to someone just starting out in this healing treatment. If you have any recommendations or suggestions please post them here.

Re:Books on Reiki Healing - 2007/08/19 04:31 Are you doing Reiki for yourself and a few friends or are you aiming to make a living from this?

Although I would have to search around for Reiki books I may be able to point you towards a couple of good books about running a practice.

Re:Books on Reiki Healing - 2007/09/07 05:08 The Original Reiki Handbook of Dr Mikao Usui by Frank Arjava Petter is a great place to start. It attempts to get back to the "roots" of Reiki, which are so often disputed. Either way, it illustrates a complete healing session, different techniques for certain situations (there are more way to give a Reiki treatment than just placing the hands on or above the area), provides a history, and provides "treatment plans" if you will for many common problems and illnesses.

Most important, though, is to just practice (on yourself daily and on objects, pets, people, whenever you can). Opinions vary on this subject, so it's important to get a "feel" for it yourself, and trust your instincts.
