Reading the description I was struck by what the amount of features. I assumed that it would be a barebones talk and text machine.

The price at $510 is high, and it isn't a "pure" solar phone (it's battery is a hybrid version.

I have a feeling in my bones that the emergency use will become more and more prevalent as time goes by. I get very cynical about these "lifestyle" features such as the prius car that do little but make the owner feel good (and poorer).
