Re:Proper Breathing - 2007/09/07 02:02
Don't do anything that you have to force. Breathing should not be uncomfortable. Proper breathing does take some getting used to, though... often times you'll find yourself lightheaded (in which case, you should take a break).
Take a deep breath through your nose (never your mouth). Fill your lungs from bottom to top (your stomach should be expanding). Hold for a few seconds (again, don't force it), then gently exhale through your mouth, emptying your lungs from top to bottom. Pause for a few seconds, rinse, lather, and repeat.
Over time, you'll be able to pause longer.
It's good to envision gentle healing air/energy entering when you inhale, and toxins and negative energy leaving your body as you exhale.
