Oil and alternative energys - 2007/08/08 14:48 I hope most of us understand that at some point the oil will be over and we will have to trun to alternative energy's .
There is enough solar energy hitting the land in the state of Arizona to power the US and wind power in Southern Wyoming to power the whole country but with out tapping these energys it is useless to us , so what should we do ? do you have a ans .

Re:Oil and alternative energys - 2007/08/09 11:59 Well I think you made double posts. Well Oil is very limited sources and it will be over in next few years. We have to find good alternative sources.

Oil will not be "over" any time soon. There are vast reserves of oil, they are just far more expensive than the sand covered oil in the Middle East. It's cheap oil, not oil itself, that is running out.

Would this mean that we would have to cover the whole of Arizona with solar panels or the whole of Southern Wyoming with windmills?

Re:Oil and alternative energys - 2007/10/05 23:15 Oil will last us another 50 years at least and by that time, we will have another solution. This is like the coal situation back in the day. Everybody thought we were going to run out of coal, but look at it now.
