Re:Politcal Ploy - 2007/10/05 23:43 Corn has almost doubled in price in the last year. It's hurting farmers badly because profits are shrinking rapidly on meat, egg, and milk production because of it.

The BIG guys like Tyson are buying tanker loads of cheap corn from Asia and South America. But us little farmers are really hurting.

Re:Politcal Ploy - 2007/10/27 06:34 I am all for using more ethanol. I wonder why they can't use more of it in our gasoline than they are. Maybe I don't understand the mechanics of it, but there has to be a way to make it work better for us. Especially as you say we have all this excess corn.

Re:Politcal Ploy - 2007/10/27 07:05 What I'm starting to hear is that ethanol production is slowing down now due to the corn shortage. Plants that were being built or scheduled to be built have been put on hold because the corn just isn't there to keep them running.

Re:Politcal Ploy - 2008/07/14 22:45 I believe it is a political ploy, meant to steer Americans away from resources that the oil and coal companies don't control.
