Energy Saving - 2007/08/18 20:50 I would like to ask what people do about energy saving.

I'll kick off. My good points:

1. I watch the thermometer like a hawk
2. In summer we dry clothes outside
3. We have avoided owning a car for three years

My bad points

1. We have a car now
2. No energy saving lightbulbs

Re:Energy Saving - 2007/10/27 06:32 I use the florescent light bulbs, I have a car, but it's a newer car that is better on the environment, ( hopefully) it's not a hybrid, but I am not rich enough to own one of those I do the best I can.

Re:Energy Saving - 2008/07/14 22:38 We dropped down to one car because it saves money and we live close to my husband's job so he can bike or take the bus fairly easily. I hang clothing out to dry when it is warm enough.

All the other plans we have to get closer to off grid living, will take time and, unfortunately, money, but I think we are headed in the right direction.
We will never be totally off grid because we really have to used our computers!
