Consciousness is of the essence for peaceful existence between people and All That Is – to co-exist in harmony, people must be conscious of their interconnection with All That Is.
What is All That Is? It is everything physical, mental and spiritual. Every creature, every “thing”, every thought, every action on every level. Some seen, felt and audible – easily detectable on the physical level. Some only partially detectable on the physical level. Some completely undetectable on the physical level.
People can exist together, even in close contact, with close interactions, such as in a self-sustaining community – IF everyone will be aware of and show respect for All That Is. Without this realization and respect, people cannot co-exist in harmony – even with distant interactions. The proof of this resides in the facts of the unrest within families, communities, cities, countries, and the entire earth. Wherever unconscious humans make connections, the result is often negative.
People today, especially in America, are grouped together with only one common aspect in consideration – they are human… Grouping people together with such varying beliefs, customs, and behaviors – “habits” will surely cause some conflicts. It is impossible to change the behaviors “habits” of a large group immediately, or within a short time period. When people act illogically, it takes time, education, and the formation of new habits to correct this illogical behavior.
If a person, or people, are being negatively influenced by their environment – peer pressure – it is usually necessary to isolate them from this negative influence – at least for a time - in order to effect any change. Alcoholics Anonymous uses this procedure with some great results, though not perfect and 100% successful. Nothing is perfect, but many things are better. Use what is better and never expect perfection – we are supposed to be evolving toward perfection, not achieving it in the next 24 hours…
A society that is evidently regressing, should implement procedures to enable them to make changes. This is done more easily on an individual or small group level. Successful self-sustaining communities are doing this. Self-sustaining communities – those that are successful, with proper, logical, and sane guidelines, will grow to become a model for those who wish to improve this Universe.
Consider these self-sustaining communities to be experiments and study the results. First look at the large-scale experiments of World societies and realize that they are failing miserably… Change is necessary if we are to survive. Our reliance in the past upon our governments to solve these problems is a part of our failing experiment. “The people” are doing a much better job of correcting problems – some of them…
If you believe that the American government is doing a great job at overseeing this huge business, look at the facts and wake up! This government has placed us in a very dangerous position by allowing us, even promoting us, to be very dependent upon foreign countries which have no concern for our continuing existence – perhaps even with a desire to eliminate America. I am speaking of our habitual dependence on fossil fuels, which foreign countries have an abundance of.
The excessive us of, and dependence on, fossil fuels has an enormous negative effect upon our environment, our economic stability, and our continued survival. Yet many in government say that we need to drill more wells and find our own sources of fossil fuel to solve the problems…. This is like an alcoholic saying he needs to be able to produce his own alcohol because dependence on government taxed alcohol is causing his problems…
Self-sustaining communities reduce the need for fossil fuels in many ways. The benefits of self-sustaining communities are as vast as the problems with society on the whole. A properly formed self-sustaining community will remedy physical, mental, and spiritual problems, and promote survival of the Universe by addressing ALL of that which needs to be addressed.
There is at least on self-sustaining community in existence today and it has been growing successfully for a number of years. We should study successful organizations as a model if we wish to improve our own organizations. This is merely logic on the physical level. This particular community started on one farm in America and has grown to have several successful communities in America, Germany, United Kingdom, and elsewhere. Since their guidelines conflict at times with those of our insane society, they have met with some resistance, but they overcame those obstacles in a peaceful and kind manner. They employ no physical resistance – just loving understanding and faithful persistence. And they are succeeding in the promotion of love and peace, as well as economical growth. This claim cannot be made about society on the whole, nor is it the truth about society.
Respect of our Creator and all in our Universe is the foundation of this community and respect of people is respect of our Creator and our Universe… Respect of people begins with respect of self…
I have no personal economical gains planned as a result of my efforts to help people become aware of their illogical and possibly insane habits… I feel that I have a duty to help people when possible and that is my goal. If I should offend anyone by shining a light on the truth, I apologize and ask you to be calm and to forgive yourself for becoming agitated. I know it is difficult for humans to become aware that there is a better way, and to change. We humans usually tend to view the past mistakes and condemn ourselves, rather than to concentrate on the benefits of future corrections and the good that will result from a change to something better.
I have chosen my path and you must choose yours. I will not be held responsible for your actions and you will not be responsible for mine. I wish for all to live in love, peace and harmony. In order to live, I hope for people to realize that if they destroy the Universe, none can live… I hope that people will realize that greed and separation do not promote love and peace.
