Governments are Scared of Solar Energy - 2007/07/07 00:20 Solar Energy is the biggest threat to all the energy companies out there. If all people were to tap into this free energy source it would be devastating to many. The government has dragged their feet on solar energy for a long time. They need people paying for energy so they cater more to the energy companies needs.

Solar energy is the most wasted type of energy there is.

Many people have implemented solar energy into their energy plans and have saved a lot in energy costs. The initial cost are somewhat hefty but over the long term the savings are great.

So I can understand why Goverment are Scared of Solar Energy because they have good relationship with energy companies and also revenue from it.

They should continue to come together and force the government to care more about their people and not just about corporations.

Re:Governments are Scared of Solar Energy - 2007/07/12 09:34 Solar power has the potential to replace, or at least supplement, existing sources of power. So of course the energy companies don't like the idea of us consuming power from a source other than them. And since energy companies lobby the government quite extensively, the government has a biased view of the situation, I believe.
