Efficiency of heat storage depends on the material used for insulation. In a water heater, the heat is stored in the water itself and if you add a little 'antifreeze' to the water, the heat can be stored longer. Solar water boilers are widely used to produce heat. Our planet is adversely affected by the wide spread use of petroleum products and this has many repercussions for the next generation.
