At one time, I believed that science conflicted with my belief in God. I didn't have faith in God, because I thought that belief in God meant ignoring science... and I was not willing to do that. However, I realized that I didn't have to shun science to believe in God. I also realized that if you are looking for the truth, God becomes evident everywhere in science.

I know a lot of smart people who believe in God. Approximately 70% of modern scientists believe in a Creator. 40% of them believe in a "Personal God" such as the Biblical God. Albert Einstein believed in God, as well. Stephen Hawking says that you cannot rule out God, and that it is a personal choice.

Earth exists within many perfect conditions that allow for live on Earth as we know it. Earth orbits the Sun the perfect distance away. We reside in what is know as the habitable or "goldilocks" zone of our solar system. From what we have observed, the mostly centric orbits of the planets around our Sun is unique to our solar system for now, and is at least rare in our galaxy.

How Insignificant We Are

The Milky Way galaxy is composed of between 180 - 300 billion stars (varies from source to source). Our Sun is just one of those stars! Of all of the billions of stars in our galaxy, it is estimated that at least 6 billion of them could have Earth-like planets around them.

So far we have been unsuccessful at locating another solar system that could develop intelligent life as we know it, but we have just began looking. Science shows us that the Universe as we know it now is about 15 billion years old. We know that, because we can reverse the rate at which other galaxies are moving away from us. It is hard to imagine what that amount of time means.

Generally known as one of the most influential theoretical physicists of our time, Stephen Hawking, has said that God could not be ruled out as the cause of the universe as we know it. He prefers to leave faith out of science altogether. Prof. Stephen Hawking believes that God is a possibility at least, but does not believe in a personal God - a God that communicates spiritually with us and has a plan for our lives.

How Can God Communicate To Us?

God gives us a way to know His truth through the Holy Spirit. We are able to communicate with God, if we approach Him with an open heart - seeking the truth.

If you truly seek the answers to the big questions in life, why rule God out. When you seek life's answers with God's guidance, everything becomes clear. This life is about choosing or denying God. God's ultimate perfect creation has yet to be seen.
