Why does it seem that everybody else is making a fortune on the internet and you cant even make a dime? They seem to make money and you cant. What is wrong with that?

Are you looking at the results of other people and expecting the exact same results? Maybe you should step back and see why those things did not turn out the same way.

Recommendations or testimonials are just that. They are something that worked for one person or maybe a few. There is no guarantee that you (being you not them) will do what they did the exact same way. Your life is different.

When you tried that new program, or the new products, is there just a small chance that you thought "I hope this works, nothing else has." There it is - that niggling little failure doubt. And by admitting you could fail, you probably will. That little doubt will produce the clouds that will rain all over your parade.

Simply put, if you think things won't work for you, they won't! I know that as long as I believed that failure was my lot in life, it sure proved me right. I touched things and they crumbled before my eyes. I created what I believed was the truth. I failed!

Don't treat your results as if you were in some kind of competition. You don't have to have the same results as the person who designed the program. You aren't them. If you get any good results, you are on a roll! You will succeed, but at your pace, not theirs.

If your parents were like mine, they wanted to prepare me for the "real" world. The world where nothing good ever comes of trying to "better" yourself. Talk about defeatist! I'm surprised I ever became a success with that groundwork. But I learned. Just because "bettering" myself and becoming more than I started out as didn't work for them, sure didn't mean that I had to stay where I was. I could get better and become a success. Things actually worked for me when I tried them!

Is there way to get out of the rut of thinking that nothing works? Yes, there is. Look at yourself. Are you always comparing yourself to others and saying that they did it this way so I have to also? So what do you do? How do you break out of this pattern? Step one is by realizing that you have different circumstances than they have. Their lives and the way they live them are not the same as yours and it doesn't matter if at a surface glance they look just like you.

If you throw in the thought, "Well maybe this time it will work." That is going to land you right back in that rut of defeat that you are trying to climb out of. Think instead, "This will work for me - my way." That way you are not comparing your results to someone else's; you are giving yourself permission to succeed. And you will succeed, but it will be your way not the way some guru or superstar did it.
