Religious leaders from around the world came together to pray for peace. Represented were Catholicism by the Pope, Buddhism by Dalai Lama, and ten others. The meeting in Assisi would prove to be a pivotal point in James Twymans life. People of different backgrounds usually meet to show their differences. In this case, he saw people from many faiths coming together for a united purpose " prayers for peace. Years later, in 1994, James received a copy of the twelve Assisi prayers from a friend. It sat in a drawer for a week before he read it. While reading the first prayer, James heard music so plainly that he questioned whether it was coming from his head or the next room. It took James Twyman only an hour to set all twelve prayers to music. James has many talents " film, writing, and even magic " but it is his passion for music that spreads his message of peace around the world.
