Everybody has a favorite color or colors. In feng shui, the use or colors is far above personal favorites. Here's how the colors affect the peace and tranquility in your home. Feng shui is made up of five elements: metal, fire, wood, wind and earth. They each have an associated color or collection of colors that represents the energy of the element. Earth - In feng shui theory, the earth represents stability in your life. It helps you to stay rooted and grounded in your relationships. The colors associated with the earth element are beige and a light shade of yellow. Light colors like these on walls will lighten up a space and make you feel as if anything is possible. Fire - What's the first thing that comes to mind when you think of this element? Maybe it's the heat or a passionate feeling. Both words are used to describe the feng shui fire element. As you might imagine, colors associated with the fire element are red, orange, bright yellow, pink and purple. If you think that pink doesn't seem to fit, you haven't seen the "hot" variation. All of these colors will make your heart race and feed your energetic attitude. Wood - The wood element is synonymous in feng shui with life and prosperity. Trees burst with life; brown wood and lush green leaves that provide life. Brown for the wood and green for the leaves are the colors of Wood. Metal - You might not think metal is an example of feng shui but don't be surprised to find out you're mistaken. Metal brings clarity and clearness to your existence. The colors that stand for this are gray and white. Water - Water regenerates the body and the spirit. It cleanses you and also stands for abundance and plenty. Black and blue represent water and their use pushes the feeling of purity and refreshment in your home. The use of color in your home is not just about painting the walls. It's also about the furniture, the accent pieces and the artwork in the room as well. I encourage you to let the feng shui energy map be your guide and then invigorate your home with vivid colors that heighten the energy vibration. Don't be afraid of using colors. Instead, be bold and you'll be happily surprised by the results. The Article Author: The truth about Feng Shui Canada is finally revealed!
