Rule #1 - Don't use texting to avoid calling your target Starting out, it can be nerve racking to call a woman you just met. Call anxiety might hurt you and keep you from setting up true comfort. Using texting as a way to refrain calling her is only going to hurt you in the long run. The point here is to set up a day two. The likelihood that you will set this up with her through texting is feasible but less effective. Also, If you fear talking with a woman on the phone, how will you deal with a face to face interaction? Rule 2: Do not seek value when texting, bring it. Examples of value seeking texts are "What's up?" or "What are you doing tonight?" These texts come off as needy, invoke no emotion in the woman you are contacting, and don't show anything about your personality. These are some sample texts that have proven to work much better... "I just saw a guy wearing a fanny pack and it reminded me of you." "Hey dork! :) I bet you are operating at a level of 100% dorkiness today." "What do you call a fish with no eyes?" Wait for her response before giving the answer, "Fssshhh." Rule 3: Avoid sending too many messages! If she is the only thing on your mind, don't be eager to let herin on the secret. You might freak her out. Text her once, and only once until she reply's. If you don't get a reply hold off until the next day before sending another text. Be sure to give a little bit of time after she responds to you to respond. This will help display your non-neediness, which will show that you must have other dating options in your life. Use pacing. If she responds to you right away, respond to her right away. If she takes 10 minutes, take 10 minutes to respond.
